CARER SERVICES

We believe Carers deserve access high quality support services so that they can be the best parents to their child on the Autism Spectrum and value themselves.  We develop our Carer Services based on what Carers express that they need.  We are innovative in our approach and are privileged to walk alongside Carers when they need support or encouragement.

Spectrum Journeys Autism Hub

The Spectrum Journeys Autism Hub is a vibrant, warm and caring community hub where we hold Carer events and groups, innovative services and where amazing therapy professionals see their clients.

During the day, you will see Spectrum Journeys staff working on projects, facilitating programs or offering Carer Counselling to clients.  Therapists will be seeing their clients and often we will have little people waiting for therapy with a Carer.  At night, we hold Blessing Bag Creation Events, our Dads Connect Group and workshops to equip Educators and Carers.

It seeks to support Dads (who are often overlooked in terms of support) and is led by a male facilitator (Social Worker) who has a child on the Autism Spectrum. The purpose is to build peer-based connections, reduce isolation, increase family resilience and to equip Dads with new skills on supporting their children with Autism. It is not an activities based group. It is FREE thanks to private donors.
